About Carolyn Dupuy

Mission

My purpose in working for the Lord is to see people introduced to the love of Christ, to achieve a more personal relationship with the Father and to receive restoration of the complete being God created us to be. In accomplishing this I strive to teach others what has been a never-ending source of information taught to me as the Holy Spirit and the Word of God are leading me. Such information includes dealing with the human soul condition and recovering from dysfunctional problems or patterns in our lives.

Training

I began studying in 1990 on the specific subject of psychology and how behavioral characteristics relate to the spirituality of mankind. The following is a list of specific levels where God had placed me in preparation for the work He was to do in me. Such levels have led me to a whole new light on areas where God wants to work restoration in our lives, such as our marriages, our families, relationships, our hearts, our feelings, our emotions and our minds.

I have attended seminars by Linda Hartson, Psychologist and ordained minister of the Word of God. Ms. Hartson is affiliated with Oasis of Love Church in Houston, Texas.
Over a period of many years, I have read and studies books, listened to audio tapes and watched videos by numerous well-know Christian doctors and teachers of psychology who deal with, not only the human side of psychology, but the spiritual side as well. Some of these doctors and teachers include John and Paula Sandford, founders of Elihah House Ministries, Drs. Frank Minirth and Paul Meier, founders of the Minirth Meier Clinic, Dr.’s Henry Cloud, John Townsend, Robert and Susan Hemfelt, Les Carter, Larry Crabb, Aiko Hormann and many others who are too numerous to list.
Recently I attained my Board Certification as a Belief Therapist after graduating from Therapon Institute. I am continuing my education as time allows. Therapon Institute is a faith based education program recognized by the Federal Government as well at the state level.

Background

I was a member of a bible teaching Word church for over twenty years and now attend The Crossing Place of Morgan City. At the early age of 12 years I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I daily continue to seek God’s Word and plans for my life and desire to learn all that God has in store for me.

Experiences and Accomplishments
God has led me down many roads in preparation for the ministry He has called me to. Such roads include the following:

  1. Prayer intercessor for several years, meeting daily in the mornings during weekdays.
  2. Conducting home Bible studies.
  3. Ministering to women in the St. Mary parish jail once a week on Sunday afternoons for approximately two years, including leading worship, teaching the Word and prayer counseling as needed.
  4. Ministering at Fairview Chemical Dependency Unit to recovering addicts on a weekly basis for more than a year providing worship, teaching the Word, praying and prayer counseling as needed.
  5. Co-pastor ship with spouse, Merrill Dupuy, for approximately six years for singles, holding meetings in our home which included praying and prayer counseling as needed.
  6. Written a curriculum called “Identifying and Tearing Down Strongholds” which I taught on Sunday mornings at my local church for approximately three years. In addition, I held meetings on Tuesday nights as a follow-up on these classes to help women deal with the new found revelation about the strongholds operating in their lives.
  7. Facilitating a home recovery group for women on a weekly basis for over six years as well as individual prayer counseling. Additionally, my husband and I have prayed and prayer counseled together with men and women leading a recovery group for them on a short-term basis.
  8. Public teaching on radio specials, television, as well as ladies’ seminars, church organizations and groups.
Completed certification classes for counseling at Therapon Institute which is a nationally recognized program for counseling.
